SEARCH RESULTS FOR: Customer Experience

In case you're wondering after our recent posts —  we don’t think digital files are the enemy! Today’s clients expect them. And we know (because digital downloads are such a popular feature in Workspace)  that for many photographers, they’re a vital part of a thriving, sustainable business — and when embraced with intention, they can enhance, not diminish,  the client experience. They are the first step in a meaningful client relationship. Today’s clients want to share, relive, and carry their memories everywhere. So think of digital To View More >>

We get it — in the age of social media, digital files feel like the norm. Especially in the wedding world, they’re generally expected. Couples want to share their big day right away, and portrait clients love the idea of having “all the photos.” But if we stop there, we’re not just shortchanging ourselves — we’re shortchanging them. Here’s why: Digital is fleeting. Print is forever. Digital images are shared for a moment and then forgotten, buried in a sea of phone photos and cloud storage. Prints become treasures. Albums become stories passed on. To View More >>

We're glad to announce that Afterpay (known as Clearpay in the UK) is now supported in Workspace Client Galleries and Print Shop. Afterpay is a payment method that allows your customers to "buy now and pay later". It's particularly popular among ecommerce businesses, and, according to Afterpay, the buy now, pay later approach maximises customer purchasing power. Their retailers report as much as a 50% increase in average order value, and 2-3x more units per transaction. Read on to learn more! What is Afterpay (Clearpay)? Someone asked the other day why some photographers using Print Shop seem to be selling their prints “quite cheaply”. "I can understand that there is potentially volume in art prints that isn't there with portraits. But I still wonder how a client might feel if the price is significantly lower for an art print." I think there are a few questions here — does the difference in price matter? Are people undercharging? — and anyway, how much should you charge? I'll leave the last one for later, but meantime… 1. Why might you need to charge differently for your art versus To View More >>

It's easy for us to never think about the galaxy we're part of. Even Star Wars is about galaxies far, far away! But Paul Wison says that when you're away from the city, and your urban life, you see things in a very different light — literally. "You see stars like never before – whole galaxies gleaming in the distance, and suddenly you experience a combination of feeling both very insignificant, and incredibly lucky to be standing, frozen in time, staring into the distance and admiring a view that has taken aeons to conspire." Paul is a New Zealand wedding and astrophotographer To View More >>

Recently we worked with Ebonnie Louise Photography  to set up her website, and we had so much fun we thought we’d share it with you. We worked with her under our Turbostart service, which helps photographers with their Workspace websites.  Ebonnie had worked with Olivia Lord Design to create her brand identity, so she came to us with a strong brand, and brand message, which was great, for two reasons. First, we knew exactly what she was after, which made her the ideal customer. And second, Turbostart is not about design and branding, but the technical stuff — setting To View More >>

Sarah Brookes’ first boudoir shoot was for a friend getting married. She shot some beautiful images of her friend in her bridal lingerie and found the experience captivating. Now she wonders if it’s the best job in the world, working one-to-one with her clients on something so important to them, and witnessing their personal transformations. “I get lots of lovely comments from the husband/ fiancé too, thanking me for capturing their partner in such a beautiful way. What a privilege!” Sarah enjoys the technical challenges as well. Every booking is different, and To View More >>
